This week, we're talking to Wylie Robinson and his family who recently upgraded from their old 1990 Westfalia van to a brand new Axis van with the Revolver Layout. As the founder of Rumpl, Wylie and his family are no strangers to the great outdoors and know the importance of having the right gear and rig to explore it. Let's hear what they have to say about their journey and how it has transformed their lives on the road.

"Flippin' fantastic!" That's how Wylie describes his experience with Axis Vehicles. 

Searching for a Campervan to Fit the Whole Family

He and his family were in search of a more practical, reliable, and  low-maintenance rig for their young family after years of traveling in their beloved, but unreliable, old Westfalia. It was a sad moment for the family, having to say goodbye to their treasured van, but they knew it was time for an upgrade.

Wylie was impressed with the layout and look of the Axis Van build, as the layout was the closest match to their old Westfalia. 

With simple, durable materials and a warm but tough look, the van was exactly what they were looking for. 

Practicality was their main concern, and the 4x4 Ford Transit converted van from Axis ticked all the right boxes.

"Honestly, it was just sort of sad. We loved the Westy deeply (it was even a part of our wedding) but we always felt somewhat nervous heading out on trips - would it breakdown? Would it get too hot for our infant without A/C? Would we encounter any variable conditions that made it feel unsafe? It was stressful." says Wylie.

But that all changed the moment they set foot in their new Axis Vehicles van. 

The stress and worries melted away, and all they could think about were the incredible adventures their family would have in their new home on wheels. 

They no longer had to worry about breaking down or dealing with unsafe conditions with kids on board. The family could now focus on the fun and excitement of traveling and exploring new places.

"Easier - more time to think about the activities we'll do on our trip and way less time worrying about getting there," says Wylie.

The family was in great hands, and their experience was smooth and seamless from start to finish.

To say the least, Wylie and his family are thrilled with their new Axis van and the memories they are creating on the road.
